Exciting progress at the Village Centre!
Thank you to the 248 Oxshott residents who took the time to vote for the election of the Trustees for the Oxshott Village Trust on 19 December 2024. There was lots of interest in this election, with an amazing 15 candidates volunteering to be one of the eight Trustees for the newly formed Charity.
Over 1,300 votes were placed by the voters and the successful candidates are:
- Mike Anthony
- Michael Carpenter
- Suzie Staunton
- Hilary Dyson
- Stuart Knee
- Geoff Moyle
- David Reeves
- David Williams
Our thanks also go to the conscientious independent vote counters who worked hard to get the count completed in a timely manner. Thank you, Revd Patrick Davies and Brian Cox, for their work into the early hours!
The new surgery
The Oxshott Trust manages the estate including the Village Halls & doctors’ surgery, as well as the surrounding land.
However, it is exciting times for the Trust, with the prospect of a new fit-for-purpose medical surgery on the horizon. This new building will provide all the latest technology, consulting space and ancillary medical facilities required for today’s patient, as well as ensuring there is capacity for the ever-increasing Oxshott residents for many years to come. We also aim to provide a wellness garden in the grounds for use by residents.
